  7.     All rise. The newsroom will come to order. CATHERINE CRIER,
  8. 34, a Dallas district court judge for five years, has turned in
  9. her gavel to join CNN and is set to take a bench behind the
  10. anchor desk. The judge was signed to a three-year contract after
  11. the network saw a demo tape of Her Honor doing interviews with
  12. authors. Jurists and journalists have a lot in common, she
  13. believes. They both "become minor experts on a lot of things."
  14. Presumably, she'll present the day's events prudently -- in both
  15. short and long sentences.
